Medellín, 25 de junio del 2011.- 202 kilómetros más para un grupo que parece no a esta altura ya piensa en llegar a Santa Helena; etapa larga, muy dura, para concepto de muchos la más dura de la vuelta, luego de haber cruzado tres fracciones durísimas y extenuantes, entre Puerto Boyacá y La Unión en Antioquia.
Para los muchachos del FORMESAN – ESSA – PANACHI – CANAL TRO – INDER SANTANDER, fue un día de sufrimientos, pues el ritmo vertiginoso que imprimió el lote, hizo descolgar a Alexánder González cuando las primeras cuestas asomaban, sin otro remedio que bajarse de la bicicleta y subirse al carro acompañante. El mejor en la tapa, ganada por Frank Osorio del GW, fue Wilson Marentes, quien llegó a cuatro minutos del vencedor. Para destacar, el segundo lugar de Wilson Zambrano en la primera meta volante, ubicada en el sector de Los Colores en el kilómetro 49.

Sólo resta la fracción de mañana para bajar el telón de esta LXI Vuelta a Colombia, 18 kilómetros entre la gobernación de Antioquia y el alto de Santa Helena, un duro premio de montaña de primera categoría que sentenciará la carrera.
